Careers

Zipwire is a Redmond-based startup focused on improving healthcare with solid, modern technology and old-fashioned relationship management. The Zipwire platform helps insurance companies, hospitals and clinics manage provider networks through the most accurate provider directories in the industry. We take a unique, primary collection approach that creates complete data sets, high data integrity and absolute transparency across the healthcare system. In short, we ensure that clinic locations are legitimate and that the providers who are reported to work there, really do. With the only onsite data verification team in the industry and our thoroughly modern platform, our data is more complete, more accurate and fresher than anyone else in the healthcare industry.

About Us

We’re passionate about two things at Zipwire: people and data. We find that accurate data, when carefully curated and skillfully used, can help people live happier, healthier lives. Inaccurate provider directory data costs the healthcare industry billions in administrative costs every year and makes it difficult for people to find and connect with doctors and specialists in their insurance network. We’re out to provide the healthcare industry the best, most accurate provider directory data possible and to do so in a super cost efficient way. We’re building a unique, tight-knit team that make that happen. We work hard and fast, and you should too. We’re not in this to be cool or famous. We’re here to make a profound impact on the healthcare industry. We’re in this to make people’s lives better.

About You

Zipwire is dedicated to building a world-class Data Operations team to serve as the operational backbone of our tech-enabled-services business. You can take ownership of entire processes, execute with attention to detail, and envision, design, and implement better process, procedures, and products. You are comfortable working with large datasets, have experience managing people, and can make quick decisions in a high volume and high throughput environment. Interfacing with clients is just as seamless as collaborating with engineers.

We believe in supporting both personal and professional growth. We’re solving very real and challenging problems, so you are committed to results both personally and professionally. Our customers are some of the most innovative organizations in the healthcare industry, ranging from startups to large enterprises. That means we pay attention to goals, celebrate milestones, and highly encourage learning opportunities that increase your brain power and ours. You are self-directed, insanely motivated, and have a strong desire to continually improve both your individual and your team’s contributions.

The Daily Grind

As a Consistency Control Lead you will head our Consistency Control Operations team. We believe that the best ideas come from creative thinking and a new perspective, so you’ll have a chance to work on different aspects of our data operations.

You will manage quantity and quality of work performed in one or more workstreams, depending on volume and business need. Most critically, you will ensure that that data we collect is of the highest quality, that we avoid data overwrite issues and that you’ll help us develop ever better predictive techniques to know when and how likely changes to the data sets will be. You will have opportunities to work directly with enterprise clients on special projects as well as with the engineering team to develop products to support a rapidly growing operation.

The role focuses on managing our data operations. We utilize a network of field representatives that take a data set from your team, verify it in the field and return it to you. You will directly manage the quantity and quality of work performed as well as own the creation and iteration of operational process.

Your background looks a lot like ...

  • Solid experience (let’s say 4+ years) involving working with large datasets or complex business and operational problems
  • You have worked in a fast paced finance, consulting, software, technology or startup setting, or in a role where you have had to independently manage your own work
  • You have experience interfacing with enterprise clients and/or communication between multiple stakeholders
  • Tech-wise, you are comfortable with data analysis in Excel or Tableau, communicating with clients via reports and PowerPoint presentations, and you understand (conceptually) how relational databases work

About You

Zipwire’s field agents are at the core of what we do. You are wildly motivated, a self-starter and out to make a name for yourself. You are highly organized and a people person. You enjoy getting things ‘just right’ and will be bothered if there’s doubt about any of the data you’re entrusted with. You know how to set people at ease, build long term relationships and manage your time with unparalleled efficiency.

The Daily Grind

As a Zipwire field agent, you’ll be assigned a number of healthcare locations – generally clinics but sometimes hospitals, labs and surgical centers. You’ll visit these locations, meet with the office managers, establish rapport with them, and verify which providers work at their locations, thank them on behalf of our insurance company clients and leave them feeling better than when you first arrived. In all, very efficient, uplifting and positive visits. You’ll be on call for these office managers when they have questions about their data and return to see them in person at least once a quarter.

Your background looks a lot like ...

  • Solid experience (let’s say 2+ years) working with customers face to face in either sales or customer service
  • You have a passion for healthcare with a background or future in nursing, pharmaceuticals, medical device sales, consulting or other people focused pursuits such as social work, sociology or languages
  • You have experience interfacing with business clients
  • You have an eye for detail
  • Tech-wise, you are comfortable with browser based programs like Gmail, smartphones and IPads
  • You have reliable transportation (we reimburse mileage) and are comfortable visiting 6 – 10 clinics a day
